    I like it and and dont forget the grip tape, and it'll hurt like hell when you slip off them and bang your shin.
    The 3mm strap is a good idea a bit less weight than going up to 6mm wall plus the price as well

    Two great ideas.
    They're all welded up and looking sweet.
    I'm buying the gussets tomorrow, finishing the ends and sourcing some plate for the bottom at some stage.
    How thick should the plate be? Is 1.6mm to thin?

    Well they're on. Been on for a while but forgot to post.

    They fell straight into place even after all the support gussets welded in. I did prepare for a little bit of warping but it was minimal.
    Didn't end up plating in the bottom. I was running out of time and steel shops don't open on weekends up here as of last weekend.
    100mm x 3mm flat will fit easily so don't have to cut from a sheet if I feel the need one day.
    I'll grab some pics when I get a chance.

    If u want 45 bends just cut a 90 in half that's what we do on the job
