    Just a thought do you think the 50 x 50 is big enough for an air tank,
    might hold more than you think, as I said just a thought.

    Now your talking. Bloody great idea. If my calculations are correct, it should hold 3.3 litres each side.

    I still don't understand why you welded the ends first before fitting those spacers in. You had to either force them in or have a sloppy fit before welding..

    They slipped straight into place because of the 15 deg angle. It would have been an issue it was straigh.

    This gives you an idea of the finished product. Need to drill a few more holes for the front mount and rear u bracket, pray for a clear arvo tomorrow and hopefully at least tack it in position.
    Before anyone says anything. No the pipes are not welded in position. I just sat them there.

    do you think you need to 45 the front to stop it digging in .?

    Oh yea thats on the cards. I'll be 45ing the bottom 2/3rds of the end, not the whole end if you know what I mean.
    I prefer that look and less sharp angles.

    I left the ends of the 50x50 a little longer so i can trim them when its in position to get the right look.

    Yeah anything with a leading edge to help it "slide" will work good stuff
