Wouldn't you rather the car sitting straight when you're not towing (probably 90% of the time) compared to the odd time when you will tow?
as soon as any weight is added when going away it;ll make the rear go down even 70kg of camping gear fridge included.
Dont take the camper much as it was only so the other guys could come, so thought stuff them one has a 2wd ute they can fill that up and go.
plus no one chipped in for fuel
Down hill look is ever so slight if any, but its level with the camper on

Well after much reading and speaking to people in the know, I've decided on a 2" flexi lift from suspension stuff. http://www.suspensionstuff.com.au/2-...an-patrol.html
I think this will suit me fine, as I mainly use the patrol as a daily with some bush track work. I'm enjoying the more technical pick your line stuff and the occasional camping trip.
My only decision is on the shocks. Will call the guys there to discuss which spring rate and shock will work best for my needs.
    Anybody used oztec ?
There is a 40mm adjustable TD as well is that up to the job or is it too small.
What do you guys think of the kit?

I do pretty much what you do in your patrol and I fitted Lovell HD springs (I carry drawes and also a fair weight in feed for livestock often) and Lovell Gas Legend shocks. So far I have no issues and the shocks come with a 70,000km/3 year warranty. The ride is smooth and handling is great, not too hard on the bumpy stuff either. All up the springs & shocks cost around $800 plus fitting which was naff all.

Prior I had OME in my ZD30 and again no issues with good ride etc.
Seemed like a good idea at the time

Hey mate I run the suspension stuff 2" flexi lift in my patrol Wagon. I went with the procomp shocks as they are a very soft shock which didn't worry me as I am still running a rear sway bar. The ride is excellent and I have had many people comment on how smooth it is. Even with the sway bar on I still get a huge amount of flex.
My mate runs the oztec shocks on his patrol and he also loves them

Fletch, do you run caster correction bushes? The kit comes with them but I've always heard that on a 2" lift its not needed and I changed mine last year.

If anyone is interested this kit is on sale for $1399 ATM.

Hey mate yes I did put the castor correction in, just made the car drive nicer down the road. Without them was still fine just a little bit more touchy on the steering

I can't wait till then, I spend it on other stuff. Having said that I'm sure that there will be other goodies that I want.
I've booked the snorkel install for next week.

G'day mate, I have a 2" lift, tough dog springs and foam cell shocks, I haven't fitted castor correction bushes, nor an adjustable drag link, car drives beaut as is. I also haven't fitted extended sway bar links, although I'm considering the disconnects and would get the 2" extended if I do. I had it doing some decent stuff at mundaring powerlines yesterday and it worked really well. It's also proved itself to me with decent beach and coastal track work.
93 GQ wagon, RB30, extractors, 2 inch tough dog lift, 5 spd, A/T KO2 32's, steel winch bar, rated recovery points, red arc dual battery set up, rhino roof racks, UHF etc etc. Slow and steady might not win the race but it gets me there eventually...
