Newbie from Albury Wodonga
Hi
Mate and I have just purchased a 89 GQ Patrol diesel, with a few mods already done to it.
After telling everyone that I would never own a 4wd, a friend and I hinted to some mates that we could probably out drive them in the forest. We were politely told to back it up, so the GQ was purchased.
Wife wasnt too happy as I already have a weekender (vh sl/e) but the kids are already excited by a truck we can drive in the mud and over round a bouts. We already have named it Moses, as it splits traffic when we drive it, and no one seems to cut in front of u; unlike my daily.
Following has been done to it
2 inch body lift
2 inch spring lift
Racing seats
Snorkel
Dual batteries
Bullbar
31 muddies
Cb uhf
Near new clutch
410,0000 kms
No oil leaks
Planned mods
Rear quarter chop
33" tyres
Rock sliders
Winch / driving lights
Fabricate rear and front bars
Diff locker
Turbo
Been modifying cars all my life, so I know the list will probably end up as long as my arm.
Looking forward to meeting some guys, and getting good advice from members here.
Cheers
John

Welcome to the forum John. Put a picture or two up when you get a chance.
"and no one seems to cut in front of u; unlike my daily." Don't rely on that too much. Some people like to play "brake testing" with 4x4. Idiots don't understand that it take a bit to slow down a 2 ton vehicle. Amyway have fun.
2005 GU IV ST 3.0. Snorkel. Roof rack. Awning. Spots. Welded I/C. Dual batteries & VSR. UHF. Barn door hinge extension. Roof top spot lights. Rear drawers. 2" lift. NADS. EGT and boost gauges. Trans temp and water temp gauges. Provent 200 catch can. Rear ladder
And crawling on the planet's face, some insects called the human race. Lost in time. And lost in space... and meaning.
