    Dash pods

    Hi all can I get some pics of dash pods please, 3 or 4 gauge mainly.
    somehow I want to incorporate my silva compass into one, without chopping it up too much.
    not links as I want to see how others have done there gauges
    04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

    You will need to be very choosey on what wiring and guages you put anywhere near a compass or did you mean you have a really BIG compass that will need teh space of 3 to 4 gauges?

    why don't you get a HUD compass, that way you won't need a pod

    I have a silva compass on top of the dash, but found some marine in dash ones from the states that look
    exactely like a 52mm gauge, centre top the batteries dont affect the compass,
    It only moves if you place the compass near the A pillars, where the batteries are.

    No it a silva compass,just a tad bigger imo to fit it a singe gauge cup

    But what ET is saying is that being a compass is such a very sensitive piece of equipment, any electricity running through a cable nearby emits EMF which could disturb it.

    I know that been useing this compass for nearly 20yrs now with NO problems shheesh lol
