Rough idle when coming to a stop??

    Hi Guys,

looking for someone who likes riddles???

basically my issue is that when i come to a stop or traffic lights for example the motor just gets this awful idle going and doesn't stop until i tap the gas peddle. ill come up to some lights with my clutch in it seems fine then as soon as I'm in neutral clutch out its starts really bad idle and yeah won't stop until i tap the gas, then it idles like nothing ever happened??

cars runs fine on the move, no issues with power or limp mode only when coming to a stop. all my EGTS are fine and I've had my car at the mechanics and no codes have been coming up at all.

i did notice that the check engine(or water in fuel) light has come on a few times but for only a few seconds then disappearing and not coming back for days.

running 3.0ltr ZD30- EGR is blocked, full dawes setup going and yeah car runs fine any other time,

any ideas would be appreciated- jason

Check you engine fuses (in the engine bay on driver's side). Also could be faulty vacuum solenoid (located under front of intercooler) or a split/disconnected vacuum line to solenoids.

Check the EMC relay under the dash left blue in picture , you can swap it with the aircon one for test purposes
Check all fuel and vacuum lines as well
Run some injector cleaner through the next tankfull

    thanks for replying guys,

i've ran the Injector cleaner before and didn't notice any difference, ill double check the relays and fuses tonight but if they were faulty wouldn't the car be rough when im driving around and not at a stop?

ill also double check vacuum lines tonight, im going to replace every vacuum line i can find because every time i have an issue i have to check them which is annoying...

I had that problem years ago when my K&N air filter covered my MAF sensor with oil. Cleaned that and it was good. But that was on my Tacoma.

I've checked through all these fuses and no faults, i basically sprayed the whole engine bay in Aerostart and couldnt find any vacuum leaks and fuel lines seem to be in good condition, so not sure on that..

With the car throwing up no errors, could the TPS still be faulty as i only need to tap the peddle for it to return to normal.??

I replaced the MAF sensor not long ago, but this issue was starting up before that and its gotten progressively worse, which makes me think it's gotta be a hose somewhere and the hole is getting bigger and air is getting in somewhere???
