when i was working at melville island off darwin we went to the boat ramp and there was a landrover still hooked to a boat and trailer bobbing around in the ocean as the braked failed when he was backing down, we hooked a chain to the cars bullbar and towed then out, the two locals just left the landrover and went fishing, i think it the car was stuffed when they finally got back as it sat there for about 4 days till the father who owned it came back to the island and by that time the two sons had gone bush.
