    Question Mq sd33 24 v alternator compatibility

    Hi everyone!!!

    I've read somewhere but i can't recall now that the engine and other components used for the mq are the same as for nissan urvan other nissan truck and fork lift.

    sooo im wandering there's any other compatible 24 V alternator that i can put on my mq

    Some GQ's came out with 24 volts system (safari) but not many in OZ - I believe NZ have them.

    The mq used an external regulator, The gq's most likely have an internal regulator, it would be easy to convert to internal regulator as you only need a sense wire, charge and lamp connection.

    I would consider posting in the MQ section on this forum, and the other patrol forum's - some might have a alt for sale.

    Is your alternator or external regulator faulty?

    The other option - is to convert to 12 volts - has been done - a lot of work.
