    Scissor Hoist-Safe?

Does anyone own one of these? It looks to be extremely unstable and unsafe. Maybe mounted on a trailer would be ok.

First time I've seen em but my gu weighs 2.8 ton so they may be more suited to cars not 4x4s.

Though even if it was rated high enough I'm not sure I could trust it enough.

Don't you mean 3.8ton with roof rack,, bullbar,, winch,, dual batteries, and bigger wheels/tyres
I would only use that on passenger cars just to get the wheels off the ground only

There would be bugger all room to work underneath the vehicle anyway.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

I'd have to double check but I'm sure it was 2.8

Would be handy for doing tyre rotations, anything after that gets a bit iffy IMHO.

Imagine trying to do any work underneath like a front locker for example.

    I'll pass thanks.

I've seen one mounted on a heavy duty trailer for a mobile workshop & you could get under the car.Just drive the vehicle onto the trailer & away you go. That set up looked pretty good. I was just thinking that to have the weight of my car on such a small area as sure fire way to cure the retirement problem.

Is that wagon or ute? If it's the former, what does a st zd30 ute(with tray) weight?
