    they are really expensive! you can get a 2 post 240v hoist in 4.5T for $2k delivered. If it was $500 or something it could be a good compromise but not much chop for servicing really, great for the tyre swap though as ET suggested.

    i thought a ute would be heavier. There is quite a lot of thicker metal in the tray.

    there is no way in hell id get under a car using that thing. maybe to get the wheels off the ground at the most.

    i have used one of these... not very useful they are too high to get most cars onto. and u can only really do wheels and some suspension work. also would not use for a 4wd it would struggle to lift it.
