grinding noise from shaft while in 4wd and in mud
Got a question for the forum. Is it normal to feel a grinding like vibration from the driveshaft to filter through the floor boards when in 4h mode treading through thigh high mud as water?

Check your tail shaft and unis and see if they are aligned. If the unis at each end on your tail shaft are out is sinc they will vibrate

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

That could be it. The front wheels were in a ditch while the back wheels were a bit higher and I was moving forward in a 45 degree angle. The noise was intermittent.if they are not aligned what's a fix?

remove, spin 90degrees and refit. 4 bolts only just rotate one end.
