    Bar and plate or tube and fin intercooler?

    I've been googling for hours and am fairly confused now. Are bar and plate intercooler a any good? Pros and cons for each?

    There isn't a lot in it really unless you have really specific needs.
    For a 4WD, tube and fin (more so if it is a front mount) is usually better.
    In a reccy 4WD the charge air load is highly variable and a tube and fin will dump the heat soak quicker.
    That means they are "cooler" when the next temp load comes on.

    Bar and plate are better for high constant loads and have a better charge air flow so usually found on race or constant load applications
