Born in Japan in 1983 as a working fire truck, it made its way to Australia not long after. Unfortunately it has no fire fighting gear left, other than zips in the headlining and a cylinder thingy under the bonnet, and PTO drive. It has a P40 ( 4.2)petrol/gas engine and a 4 speed box. With only 107,000 kms, it has a long way to go. Was on Gumtree for many months for the price of $1700, with lots of rust monsters. Mr ' I love a deal' dragged it home for $450. It was missing the grill and headlights and did not go. Mr 'I love a deal' got it running within 12 minutes. It had a burnt out wire. So, 4 weeks exactly later, it now has number plates. I'm hoping to have it as a work car. Onto the important bit.....
