    Seat mod, is this possible/legal?

The Maverick is a SWB so basically what I wanted to do was to get the passenger seat modded so that I could remove the backrest allowing for myself to sleep across the length of the truck. I'd like to be able to take it on and off as required too. I haven't been able to get on to a upholsterer due to all the public holidays to ask.

    Cheers

Did I get this right you want to sleep say with your feet at the dash and your head at the rear doors?
You might be better off tilting and moving passenger seat forward as far as poss and use a board as a bed extension.
Ok if the weather is fine, but a tarp over the doors might help.
Other than that I think your seat would need to be engineered to be deemed safe
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

I did think about that but given my height the only way I could do it would be by taking the seat off. Getting an engineer to would be fine if I could. If that's the best solution I may do that but though!
