Uniden rm770
My remote mic uhf has started to play up - showing busy. Does anyone know how to reset factory defaults from the remote hand held unit? The head unit has been well and truly hidden by ARB.

Not familiar with that particular unit but check the squelch or monitor settings.
Sometimes you can accidently set the level so the Unit thinks the channel is in use and locks you out
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

If you don't have the user manual to check you can download from the Uniden site.

Thanks TimE. That's the strange thing here. The Uniden manuals don't mention how to reset.

I think that might be the only option Evil Twin. Go through every setting manually - by the manual and I ain't no expert on these things

Here is a link to the manual.

Check that you haven't accidently changed the Auto Squelch level or enabled the Busy Channel Lockout.
That is what normally causes the issues you describe, the old "finger trouble".
If the Squelch is OK and the Busy Channel Lockout is disabled on the display then you need to look further
