hi all a very cheap way to make a flag bracket for your ARB or chinese style roof rack.
I welded mine on but I would not recommend it.
Grab a piece of 20mm x 20mm x1.5mm rhs, cut to about 8" or 200mm long.
I flared the end with a 3/4 flaring tool ,but not really required.
Then drill a 4mm hole about 20mm up from the bottom and another 25mm further up again.
Mark and drill these holes on the side of the upright on the roof rack.
put the bolts through and tighten to your liking. Paint any bare metal with paint
Now go to K-mart or any shop that sells tents and buy a 13mm pole kit, [$15]
then go to a 4x4 shop and buy an approved sand flag, you will find you may only need two sections of pole
