    Rear brake light clips

    Hi all
I'm a newby to this forum and can't download a manual yet and have run into a problem.
My right hand side brake light isn't working and I have undone the two screws and pulled it apart. I can get to the globe to replace it but have found 4 clips and don't know where they go for re installation. Where do these clips go ?ny help would be great and a photo from a manual would be awesome. Thanks in advance !!

Hi Simon, best to take a photo of what you mean bud. You will get an answer much quicker I reckon.
Also I take it, it's the rear quarter light, not the lower bumper light.

Hi mudski I meant the lower bumper brake light. Pulled it out and found 4 clips and don't know where they clip. Thanks

Are they a flat, rectangular shaped clip with a slot in the middle?

I can see the clips. Now the plastic surround the houses the tail light has four tags on it. These tags slips through a little slot on the bumper itself and then these clips go on the inside of the bumper and slide onto the tag. A lot of Patrols don't have them as they simply fall off. Mine have never been there and I have two springs, like an accelerator return spring, that holds the lights in place.

Thank you very much mudski I have realised what I have to do now. The plastic surround was loose on the top and now I can replace it with clips to hold in place. Once again thanks

Too easy mate. Does your light have the two springs behind there too?

No worries. I think because I don't have those clips, I have these springs instead. Makes it easier when removing the lights though. Just unclip the spring 8 either end and the light falls out.
