Upholstery/ Marine carpet
Ive just about finished my rear drawers and am about to start laying the marine carpet. Does anyone have and tips or advice theyd like to share regarding your methods used. For inside the drawers im thinking do the sides and base in 1 pce and then just cut another section for the rear and back of facia. Im gunna use the kwik grip vertical glue (gel) ive used kwik grip with rubber before and it seems to do ok. Ill be letting it go off first. Any input would be appreciated.
Cheers

Sounds pretty good.....
Not sure of your setup, but I have wrapped the carpet around the edges, and routed a rebate about 1 cm wide and 3mm deep on the back of the timber before i glued the carpet on, so the carpet is then joined at most edges so it wont lift on the corners, and is then clamped down against the next piece of wood or aluminium. Hope that makes sense to you.
I have made my drawers out of aluminium, and have left the piece of carpet on the bottom of the drawers unglued, so it is replaceable if something gets spilt or leaks, and it makes it easy for cleaning too.
I just cut it to size and lay it in there.

This is a brilliant idea, marine carpet is cheap but really durable.

On that note, you can also get the rubber backed stuff. I used it in my old pajero and it prevented the mat from sliding around in the cargo area
