Is that for the 4 corners and a spare or two or three?

Hope they're throwing in the taxi fare for you to pick it up when they're finished.

    Well ok here goes.

Figure I need 4.6 gear set. Then seeing that I am going to pull the centres I thought may as well fit lockers. Then will need to buy correct offset rims and tyres. Seeing that lockers and gear set will be fitted need to find someone with the expertise to set the centres up so factor in some labour costs. Last but not least will need a quality air compressor.

Why the compressor you ask. Well to fit a 35 where I want I will need to air down the tyre so it fits in the space allocated.

Is it worth it seems pure indulgence on my part.

NB the ute is being set up as a tough tourer towin a 2 tonne offroad van.

If you have 4.1 or 4.3 diff gears I'll take them off you if you like. You don't need 4.6 gears better off with transfer case reduction gears. As for lockers you only need a front one really.

I had 35's on a TD42 with 4.6 centres on a prev rig and if you are going to tow 2,000 KG's with the 35's on then you will def want 4.6 diffs

Agree with macca in that I would only lock the front and reshim the LSD if needed.

I have onboard air with a reasonable sized tank on my current ute and it is really handy with the 35's
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

Yep I agree. The ute puts out 110 killowats at the rear at the moment. Recently had a practice run towin the van with some 35's on went ok but i felt that the 4.6 would be the go . I have 4.1 diffs at the moment.

Drove with the splits on a while ago and the ute felt it would tear the bitumen up. So that's why I would like the 4.6 gear set.

If I don't go for the 35's I reckon a front locker and shimmed lsd rear would be the go and of course a lot cheaper.

High range 1st gear is too tall, add pulling a van even at 2 tonne with need to slip the clutch to get moving.

Mine is on 33's and that is hassle enough getting moving on a uphill start. 35's will be worse. The transfer case reductions are great but only in low range half of the box, so no help on the highway.
    Cheers
    Macca
