    Hi Folks
Now have picked up the camper and will fit the Solar power soon.
The next big hurdle is to find the time to use it!
Working T,W,T with a 4 day weekend so it should work out fine
Comming home from Coffs Harbour the fuel consumption was around 13l/100Km at mainly 95KPH
So looks good for a fuel range of >800km on standard tanks
Will look at the fuel pick up on the Sub tanks as it may be lesaving some fuel behind
I have a Filter seperator for Sub tank to main and Main tank to engine so can run the Sub tank nearly dry
    without any bworries

    Hi Joe,

Is this the car your looking to upgrade to 3.9t GVM?

So this is a little harder to just buy and sell for sure. If you want to GVM up this you will have to get it Engineered again, Maybe a Swerve test too. Could be very expensive.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Then it would be fairly easy to do to be honest. I'd be looking for a full rear leaf diff housing and see if you can cut the mounts off the donor chassis. Most wrecking yards should have what you need.

    Good luck with it mate.

Welcome aboard Joe, have you considered these yet mate:

Patrol Apart recently installed for me in my GU Laingley extra cab. My trays still off atm so can't give it a full on and offroad test. Full coil replacement just bolts straight in! Of course, please do add tower bracing, but I reckon they could spec up bellows to suit ten fold what you're after. I'll go take a pic in 5 for you to see.

And we went with Koni 90s over the 88s, lost some travel 15-20mm but recommended for the weight of my counterlevering tray out back !
