Hi MB I have coils at the moment and am verry happy ..Just not legal at 3.9T
Engineer will not cerify coils as it exceeds the axel load allowed by Nissan ..
The leaf axel has a higher rating hence the need to change..
Hi Mud runner yes am aiming to purchase a complete leaf spring axel and then fit mountings to suit.
Engineer is looking for workshop to do job,, have to keep certifying engineer happy or will be in same boat as now.
I have been verry happy with the vehicle as stands just blissfully un aware that I was so far over GVM
so will source parts and get the job done Asap When Engineer j
gives go ahead
Regards
Joe

Assuming that chop was done in WA have you contacted them as they would almost certainly be equipped to do the new mod you need.
Sounds like you have a great Engineer on board. They can be tough.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
