    Obieco canopy repair,

    Well,

I just finished fitting a 3" exhaust to my ex telstra rig, stupidly left the passenger canopy door up, connected with a tree and door is very out of shape and fallen off.

I guess it will be more than my excess $600 to fix so I am going to go through insurance, can anybody point me in the right direction to who I need to see for a quote in the brisbane area?

I realise obieco is in tamworth but surely one of the big tray manufacturers or a dealer could do the job.

exhaust sounds awesome so thats a plus but my day could of gone better!

    thanks.

Can you buy a new door and fibreglass the cabin section,
    can you post some pics?
You might need a micro switch and a LED light in the cabin to alert you if a door is open

thats not too bad IMO as its not "creased" badly only bent,
I'd gently try and hammer it straight and grab a can paint
    to touch up.
I think you could save that door

nice big 6" vice on a solid bench will help,
or a big anvil to tap it back in shape.
very doable with the right gear IMO
How is outer skin held on I cant see and pop rivets

Yes, I wouldn't waste my time fixing that door. Get on the blower to Obieco and let the insurance company foot the bill.

When I bought mine (Rossco body) the pod door alarms would go off on virtually every corner, & I came close to removing them altogether, but before I did so I had a close shave after driving off with one of the doors open, so instead I adjusted the switches for the alarm. Glad I did, impossible to drive off with doors open now, with a buzzer screaming at me & a red light showing on the dash.
