Well it says it's static rated to 150kg.

I'm always on a mattress with my stretcher bed.
    So much more comfy.

Mego. Have you looked at the Jet tent bunker?? Swag & stretcher in one. One of the comfiest sleeps I've ever had. Price of a decent stretcher and swag is pretty much on par with the price of a bunker.

I'm down sizing what I take away and next trip I'll be using a 800 wide stretcher
and sleep on a couple of lambs wool fleeces , cos those inflatable mattresses take up a lot of room

I was also reading up on these (I think you gave them a mention elsewhere Hodge?) Like the look of them. I'm happy enough with the tent for now. Also, I use a CPAP machine and I think the tent just gives me a bit more room and helps keep the dust out of the CPAP a little bit.

I've just got one of the cheap instant tents, but it's never been tested in the rain - hope it will hold up to that here? But, plenty of room at least for a stretcher.

Yeah, that looks pretty good. I wasn't really thinking about doing a cheaper one of those as well as the reasonable stretcher, rated to hold me! Still cheaper than the expensive mats. If you're only going for quick trip then can probably do ok with just the mat I guess. Both would be good if you were away for a week or so.

Not in a hurry, start keeping an eye out for specials.
    Thanks, Cameron
