GU rear bench
After seeing a few examples on here, I thought I'd try my hand at a rear bench for when I'm out camping etc.
Its 7mm ply for the backing and 10mm ply for the shelf with 100mm stainless hinges and a few stainless fittings.
I removed the old rear panel and replaced all the outside edge push in mounting holes with 6mm steel nutserts and it came up a treat.
I ran out of 6mm nutserts so thats why there are a few screws left out for now.
I'm thinking I'll just paint it a similar color to the interior and glue thin rubber matting to the shelf.
All up, it took a few hours over 2 days.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
