    troys 86 patrol

hey guys thought it was about time i did this.
it has th l28 engine. brought the truck off my dad about 5 years ago for my first car. when dad owned it he brought it from standard and has slowly done it up since then he owned it between 2001-2009. have had to hava a looka round to grab som photos from back then.
from what i can remember this is the very first trip same day we brought it.

and afew more through the stages of up grading it.

has had a 30 mm body lift, rear shackels lifted to have truck sitting level, all bars home made and welded, took old flares off and put rubber ones on, put a safari snorkel on but did not last long because engine was not getting enough air flow. so it held the butter fly valve open reving its head off. ended up being some down pipe from guttering and sitting on 31 at tyires. next we put in a roll cage at the back to take roof off plus to get rid of the old lap belts. some time between those years we also replaced the sound sistem and put a uhf base mount in it.
next upgrade was moving from 31ats to 33muds goodyear wranglers and changing the roof rack to a smaller one.

this is how i brought it 5 years ago. has stayed the same since then till now.
last few months have benn busy planning on putting new slide bars on instead of the originals. there a bit beat up and broken. plus i have got rid of the front seats and put in my old seats out of my mr2 sw20. kept the old seat bases and put the seats on them plus put a spension base down for drivers.

ever since we owned the truck we have always been snapping the front leaf springs so i thought id try militry wrap back of leaf spring so you have it on both ends now. got them made up plus had to get new bracets made up to fit them in.

Pretty when they are new , try greasable shackles best mod ever for a leaf sprung 4x4.
You can get flex from leaf springs also put in anti inversion brackets
keep the military wrap or next time try parabolics.
If you put 2" extended shackles in the rear it will only lift it
one inch just enough to give you a slight down hill look
