What did you make today ?

seeing a few ppl fabricate some gear I'd thought this may be a usefull thread.
Anyway this is what I made a while ago, serves two purposes, one is as a step the other is two fold
great for touch parking and protects the back a little coming off ledges etc.
the finish is zinc, just slides in any class 2 tow hitch,
    great for shins too lol

Nice! Don't have any pics, but I put a couple of plates on the bottom of my rear mudguards, they were coming a little to close to the 35's. There's a small chain connected to the plates and hooked to the rear guard. I can adjust where the mud guards sit, if im off road I pull them up a bit higher.

Its not metal fabrication and I didn't make it today (a couple of months back I think) but I did make this.

A secure table top for the portable BBQ to use it as a table when not in use. It has tabs underneath the top that fits inside the lip of the BBQ to stop it moving around.

WARNING!: Do not ever use a towball as a recovery point. They are not rated and can become a deadly projectile during a recovery if they snap off, and they have done so with tragic results in the past.

Might be a bit off level, trying to balance it on the vertical post, get it near level and weld was a challenge.

So you might be right LOL. Might do it again as it was the first one. Bit like a one arm paper hanger on stilts doing it on my own.

    Try another pic...
