I'm fortunate that i'm a shocking hoarder as the only costs have been two cans of wattyl kill rust primer and epoxy enamel about $22 pack of rivets for the 1/4 chop $5 and the fancy grip tape $15 looked at grip paint but too dear $36 for a small can that would paint my steps over and over

If it does the trick, then so be it ... Good stuff!

I'm sitting here waiting for the first coat of paint to dry on the welds - can only do the bracket ends and bends as I still have to mount the support bar - amazing how quick rust starts!! Left them on overnight, and every weld and cut had already developed rust!!! Less than 12 hours!!!!
