Zinc plating
One for the metal workers... I have the option to get my rear bar and rocksliders zinc plated for $150. Will zinc plating come off rocksliders if they are getting scraped on rocks etc.?
For the price I am going to do it but if the zinc plating is going to come off as easy as the powder coat I will not waste my money!

I had my bull bar re-powdercoated, as whoever had the car before me fitted a second hand one and was looking chit.
The powdercoat bloke, sandblasted the whole thing, then a coat of something? Then a coat of zinc, and then a finishing powdercoat. He said, from memory, if the top layer is scratched, the zinc layer will supposedly is tough enough to stop scratch penetrating deeper, preventing rust etc...
Could be a load of chit, but thats what I was told.

Not as good as Gal but good for stopping rust forming.
two colours are silver or gold which I think they call blue
Great as it does not build up so any holes will still be the same to use
To answer your question zinc plating will not peel off like say chrome
or power coating
