Cheers guys, I did toy with the idea of mounting the solenoid behind the washer bottle which I reckon would work well. Apparently there are smaller bottles available which can make a bit of space, might end up doing this down the track. They do fit on the end of the motor but do need a little grinding to get them to sit flat, also you would need to make sure the bolt holes are sealed up well too.

Agreed with changing direction on the motor to stop run on, this would defiantly not be nice for the motor. It is different in this way to a low mount because everything is spinning a lot more freely, but defiantly manageable. And yes I think I love the highmount!! however there are still room for improvement in the future plenty more mods to do if I get bored. . . one day!!

With the Freespool, you will find that the "Winch Out" on a Himount is very fast and there is no adverse effects on the winch by winching out so go for it mate. I have my Freespool pinned so winch out. I have just bought an Airfreespool though Shhhhhhhh. I will post a pic here of the pin for you, I took one tonight when I stripped the Himount and front bar off my GQ.

Looking good mate, you will love the Himount.
And yes a little birdie did tell me that you had a air free spool on the cards. Looking forward to seeing it, I think you'll love it they look awesome. As fast as you can run you can still pull out the rope!! Are you going a Delta Tek?

That is called the "Big Mouth Fairlead and has recently been advertised on ebay. Mine was the prototype and the pic on ebay is of mine. This one is designed for the +76 drum but is a bigger opening also so if the rope ever breaks and needs to be knotted the knot will fit through the fairlead! (This is a pain in the ass). Very exciting.

I got this one off Phil at the 4WDShed and Biders make a standard width one too.

AB you should hit Phil up to come on here as a Vendor Sponsor mate, he is hitting it hard at the moment and i think would be keen. He has a great range and getting bigger every day. He is gearing up to compete in Outback Challenge in a few weeks but he is hitting online in a big way.
