    TD42 Knock

Hello. Just took my new motor for a drove and heard a knock. Oil pressure is fine. Its coming from the top end.

I started cracking injectors of and found that when I crack no3 the knock goes away.

Iv also noticed that there is no where near the amount of spray coming from that injector hose.
If I crack it at the pump I get a decent stream
Has anyone encountered this kinda problem.?, should I just try blow out the line ?

Iv been told it could be a fault injector staying partially open or closed

Swap the injector with another one and if the noise follows then it will be a crook injector.

This is the cheapest and easiest way to find where the fault is.

If the knock follows that injector then get a new one (a set would be better). If the knock stays at #3 then it could be the line or pump. A line will be a far cheaper fix than the pump so I would start with that, not sure how the line would block though, maybe damaged while playing with something else?
You said new motor, is this new car or new engine? The #3 cylinder could also be an issue. When/who set the tappets? This could contribute too.
Bit hard to be accurate on a keyboard sorry

Motor is brand new, iv had the motor running for 3 weeks and not had a knock until I took it for its first drive yesterday, I did clean the line out yesterday as it was a little blocked. the knock goes away when cold and if I crack the injector. iv been told to remove the injector and pull it apart as the pin might be sticking or getting caught. tappets were set before the motor went in, there is no noise from the tappets. has good oil pressure aswell.

Injectors and pump were brand new when installed. im hoping its just a little bit of shit in the injector

It kinda sounds more like injector from what your saying. I would try and swap into another position as described above to confirm.
