    td4.2 rebuild maybe, need help.

Ok long story short, i drove through a boghole (stupid) and got water in my engine and beleive i bent a rod, i can hear it right under the sump knocking abit.. what would you do if yoy were in the situation of possibly doing a rebuild? Would you go a different engine? Or would you buy a reco engine or what? Really mixed emotions, not sure what the best way to go is

Well if you already have the 4.2 I would personally rebuild, depending on what condition your block is in that is.

Pull it down and make your decision from there. If everything checks out you could get away with minimal spending. A new rod, piston, bearings, rings, injectors and some minor head work.

    Hey Ben,

Depending on of you were to do the job yourself and have access to good machine work.

Send me a pm with a parts list, I will take care of you with pricing.
