2010 GU 7 Grill Removal
I'm trying to take out my headlights to replace the indicator globes with leds. There's 3 bolts holding the light assembly in but it looks like the grill has to come out too. I've got the top clips out but for the life of me I can't remove the bottom clips. The manual doesn't really say much except remove clips. The bottom ones look like they turn but I can't seem to move them. Anyone got an easy solution or any solution for that matter...

Patrol God
Mine just pop out outwards. So pull away from the engine, once you pop the top ones and grill should come out.

Thanks mate, that seems to be the way although my factory bullbar is stopping me getting it out, very little room to pull the grill forward....

Yes the bottom clips are a bugger. i had to lever them forward from underneath from memory. A second pair of hands for the win. It can be done alone though.Kind of a silly clip to have there.
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

And once you've broken both of them, zip ties work quite well when you re-secure it all back in place...
Between Patrols ATM. Had a beaut GU with 6.5 Chev TD. Next is a GU ute with a 4.5 litre Cummins conversion and a camper on the back.

There is no way I can lever the grill out of the bottom clips. The grill is about 3mm from the factory alloy bar. To me it seems the bar is tilted upwards, although it looks reasonable on the sides, or maybe it's the shape of the grill. Short of breaking this clips, any suggestions?
