    G'day Neil,

I have the Oricom 5w UHF unit in mine from Supercheapauto and the 3db + 6db antenna package

    Total cost $266.95

Easy to install and they work great.

There is better quality gear at good prices around if you have a look.

Try Prestige Communications lots of good deals and with quality gear at pretty good prices.

No affiliation just a happy customer.

I thnk the big question is? whats the after market support like.

    Can you buy replacment mics

what is the warranty plan / and support

As long as the specs are the same as every one else (and they should be to obtain the acma type approval) - they should work the same (range / channels etc)

I bought an Oricom UHF-180 / 80 channel to replace my old 40 channel Uniden 015SX.
When I went to fit it the head unit to the mount, the thumb screws were too long and would not tighten as they were bottoming out in the head unit.

I phoned Oricom about the issue. They said they would post me some shorter screws.
I received them next day, sent by overnight postage.
I have no complaints about the unit or the service.
