    But one of those plugs is a sensor in the radiator

    Is it possible that the radiator was replaced with a non-EFI radiator and the sensor was left in place? The non-EFI models had a sensor to cut the A/C when temp got to a certain level.
    The EFI models control it through the ECU.

    The plug that's behind the A/C drier could be for an option in a different market. Some had headlight wipers, for example.
