    DIY Anti theft

Hey all! Recently had a patrol nicked and want to be sure my new toy does land in the hands of scumbags again, Can anyone throw out some good ideas on DIY anti theft for a GQ patrol?
    Cheers guys!

I'm sure there will be some better ideas but just off the top of my head...

    1. Steering lock put on in dodgy areas
    2. Alarm
    3. Even just a flashing red light can do wonders
    4. Be cautious of where you leave it, etc

apart from the obvious alarm & immobiliser, you can fit a hidden cut-off switch for the ignition, starter circuit or electric fuel pump somewhere.. hide it under the seat or somewhere behind the dash that you can reach but not see...or fit a brass fuel cut-off tap under the drivers seat .. thats the 2 DIY security tricks that have worked for me

I'm super paranoid with the new GQ. Didnt take it last night for night shift at a new shopping centre opening today.

If you have half a clue you can get into a GQ as quick as getting the keys out of your pocket which is scary!

I don't think that any amount of anti theft devices will stop them, slow them down maybe but if they really want your car they're gonna take it no matter what.................. for example, my younger bro still lives in the UK, he had a Vauxall Calibre (I think Holden had them over here for a short while), anyway about five years ago, he came over here for a month to visit, he had actually removed all the wheels off his car and put it up on blocks, thinking no ones gonna steal it................. when he returned home, the car was gone, he was absolutley gutted
