But if he just took the 25k for it then all that means is he paid 25k to Jeep to screw him around (a shipload by the sounds of it) and nothing else would come of it. You all know how frustrating it is not to get closure or vindication after being messed around.

i agree, if he were to take $25000, than what about about the other $25000? would you be happy if you bought a brand new nissan patrol, and it was riddled with faults from day one, and Nissan Australia, came to you after you had caused a big big stink and said well fair enough, your car is pretty bad, how about we give you half your money back and youll be on your way? if the vehicle was as bad as he said it was, they should have offered him a replacement OR a full refund IMO.

i believe what he is doing now is trying to turn heads so he can set a precedent for people in the future who have the same problem. i understand his frustration, although i dont think he is going about it the right way. The Australian legal system is pretty fickle, there isnt a good balance of which side the law takes and most times the larger companies will triumph over an individual.

anyway, good luck to him, maybe he'll go out and get a troll next!

Just a dickhaed in my opinion
oh and 93patrol, i think you are so wrong mate. if you bought a brand new car for 50k and sold it 3 years later for half that would you be happy? i doubt anyone would with that depreciation...

wow, the list of things wrong with it(and i thought my woes were bad atm):

    Q. What has gone wrong with your Jeep?
    A. Please don't get me started...actually too late. here goes...Fuel Line fell off (at the time of getting handover in the showroom!), Loss of all climate controls (twice), Rattling in drivers door, Clock couldn't keep the correct time (for 2 years!), Bash plate hanging off, Turbo inlet manifold cracked (towtruck required), Rain sensor failed, Major coolant leak inside vehicle (towtruck required), External mirrors getting loose all the damn time (special screws so I can't even tighten them myself if I wanted to!), Ignition failure (towtruck required), Faulty seat belt tensioner, Heater exchange cracked behind dashboard, Starter motor intermittently running after the engine has started (has been replaced but keeps doing it), Drivetrain Control error (towtruck required), wipers intermittently coming on when driving in dry conditions, Rear strut leaking oil and had to be replaced... see why we want to burn it?

I made a token donation as I hate the thought of this ever happening to my family..... no one deserves that treatment.

Would you pay someone to $50,000 to f^%k you up the bot bot... even if you like that kind of thing $50,000 is a lot of money.
