    Air horns

Anybody running airhorns on their rig? What's the best sort and how much?
I need to get the pink 'n grey's off the road before they wreck another aerial

As in the type found on trucks?......... A truck wreckers would probably be your best & cheapest bet.

As in the type found in super crap (Cheap)?...... Have a good set of 3in1's that work well...very loud.

How are you going to supply air?

Do you have an on board system with a tank set up?

I recon thats what you will be needing but I might be wrong on that.

Also talk to the wreckers about what else you may need. ie regulator if needed or anything like that.... Just a thought I had

If you have no luck (Im sure you will though) & have to go new try the dealers like Kenworth & places like that.

    Cheers

I run one of these in my car, nice and compact unit, no need for a separate air supply.

& the funny part about this is you need them. I don't know why or do I understand how as big as our 4x4's are ppl seem to miss us like we are invisible. It baffles me to say the least.

    Sorry, wrong quote

    Adam,

Would you be popular with your neighbours if you accidentally hooked it up as a reverse beeper? lol

Thanks mate. Sound cheap enough too. Are they DIY wiring or get a pro to wire it up? I note they are for motorbikes. How loud is yours?

The box claims 139dB, but all I know is that it's alot louder than the standard crappy one that was on the Patrol.

As for the wiring, I had a pro wire it up because I have switched it so the boys in blue can't complain, but it disn't look that hard to DIY.

For a general idea on the volume check this out
