    Blank canvas

Here's my "new" 97 GQ 2.8td. Very keen to transform this into a long distance tourer / family camping beast. I've been reading plenty of forum for hot tips and recon I have plenty of spanner time ahead !

looking forward to the build, are you married, kids????
You'll need some long range Aux or main replacement
    to get some range happening.
Only thing I can think of is keep it as light as you can
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

Hey threedogs, I have the wife and 2 kids to fit in for the big lap, probably get in a bit of trouble if I don't take them too ! Haven't started looking at extra fuel range yet but I know I will have to tackle that one. Following the light weight path, I got hold of a nice secondhand ARB pioneer alloy roof rack/platform which I'm pretty happy with. I know the steel TJM bar and brush bars/sidesteps aren't the lightest items but I think I like the added protection.

Bit of a rust hole to clean up in the RH side step. Rusty bolts in the brush bar mounts will need replacing too.

Fitted a second hand roof rack, I believe it is a TJM pioneer alloy unit. It also came with an ARB awning which had been fitted with an LED lightstrip. I wired on an acc plug and it's all good to go.
