    Alumium Drawers, part 1

Didn't take pictures but I had a small stack of AL sheet and a friend who runs a marine fabrication business, we did some horse trading for cutting and folding operations of the AL sheet.

Just arrived home this avo, have to figure out how to hold this down since I covered up the bloody holes with sound proofing (like I've said, just about everything was done in reverse order

So need to cover the inside of the drawers, top of frame and front with marine carpet. Build some side supports to put removable ply sections to cover gaps, etc. Hopefully to complete this weekend.

Thats a neat set of draws, i was thinking about a light set of draws the other day but without an ac/dc tig i'd have to pop rivet it together.

Couldn't you make side compartments that bold down to where the dickie seats used to bolt to so your draws are secured ??

Yes, agreed those certainly are a couple of points forward I was thinking about, just need to make some 'L' shaped brackets and either weld/bolt/rivet them to the sides of drawers and then bolt down there. I'm also going to try and fix the rear portion (barn door side) down with a few SS sheet metal screws into the raise section of the floors to stop any lifting from that side too in case of an 'event'.

What's bloody heavy is that MSA slider !!

I'm assuming you are going to cover the drawers in carpet or something?

If I could do mine again, I'd opt for a removable liner in the drawer to make it easier when cleaning it all out after a big trip or someone has spilled the bloody sugar or something...
Between Patrols ATM. Had a beaut GU with 6.5 Chev TD. Next is a GU ute with a 4.5 litre Cummins conversion and a camper on the back.
