    GQ 1989 TD 42 Recalls?

I bought mine second hand with 30k on the clock in 1990 and have never been advised of any recalls.

Have I been missed or have there been no recalls on the diesel GQ TD42?

Its almost run in with some 190K on the clock so I was just wondering if there is anything more I need to know on this?

    Thanks in anticipation.

    Cheers
    Chimo

The only real thing with that model was the panhard chassis mount. It was revised and a bracing plate was added.

There was a recall on my 1992 efi front brake hoses. Might be worth checking if yours has that due. Mine only got changed late last year as well.
IMO and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Thanks for the help so far.

Looks like my VIN excuses me from the brake issues but.................

My next question. How do I tell if this is in need of fixing on mine or do they all need to be repaired?

Which welds need to be inspected and if plates were fitted where are they located?

    Thanks

    Cheers

This is a pic of the front panhard mount with bracket attached.

    Thanks Parksy.

So if I understand it correctly, Nissan should fit one of the brackets as in your picture if they have not already fitted one to my GQ? Your bracket looks very new, has it recently been fitted?

    Cheers

I found it on eBay for cheap so I bought it and painted it up. As far as I know, my patrol being a 92 model already had the improved panhard mount, because the bracket didn't fit at first. I had to modify it first to make it fit. But for peace of mind I've fitted it to mine.

Can you post a pic of your front mount?
