Been a few interesting days at work. But it's about to go up a notch or seven this evening.
Charge up your back-up torches for those in Melb. Let me give you the drum.
Yeah pretty wild lots a flooding coming back though the Yarra Valley from the south end, reckon rivers will get up to levels they haven't been at since the last big one in the 90s. . .

Most of my local roads were underwater, even the low rail bridge at Lilydale is severely underwater
We’ve only had 77mls at home , water laying everywhere but not in the house , Traralgon is a mess, I’ve never seen it like that , 260mls in the hills around there , 300+ at mt baw baw .
Serious carnage out our way. SES etc clearly all have their hands full so our neighbourhood all pitched in and cleared the road for majority of people. Several houses are a write off, fortunately our house was left untouched but I would say over 75% of our neighbours have had damage to there house/property in some way, we are just very lucky. Carnage!!!

Brother lives in Olinda and has been off the air for 3 days. His house is fine, house 3 doors down has a monster gum right thru the centre of the house to the floorboards. His estimation is that 50% of the trees have come down and those that remain have no leaves, especially in the direction towards the south - Belgrave and Upwey. Total carnage is an understatement. Trees standing for a 100yrs, trunks the thickness of a car are over the roads. All 3 access routes are heavily restricted access, but you can bet by the weekend the rubber necks will be up there, bogging things down or the thieves will start arriving, or the little old couples looking for a scone and cup of tea, going to be very difficult for these communities.
