    Engine bay painting

    Hi guys,

    in the process of restoring our GQ, just seeing if anyone has used other types of paint?

    Well I guess not many people paint there engine bays

    Yes, I have removed the engine. The gearbox is still in the car though.

    So yea_ strip it out.
    Heavy degreaser onto it. Hot high pressure would be tops.
    Rub down with thinners.
    A good prime
    And then paint.
    If your doing large areas gun will be cheaper than can..

    Also while it's apart pay special attention to the seams.
    I'd be apply a rust converter and sealer to them for long jeverty
