Are they good quality, or cheap knock offs? As in would you trust them to hold in an accident, Parksy?
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Yeah somethings not right. I had OEM ones I was selling for $38. Nissan's retail is $49. Well according to Nissan here in Melbourne. I really think he made a mistake as the price you were quoted is definitely not right.

They are genuine nissan parts.
IMO and should be taken with a grain of salt.

No idea. Could just be the dealer here in Nowra, trying to bulk profit off the poor suckers around here. When I ask for a price of something, they always say "it's about...", like they're making it up.
IMO and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Re-bumping this thread.
Found that the door striker plates in Urvans, Cabstars and other Nissan commercials pre 1990 are identical to the plastic coated GQ ones - EXCEPT they are SOLID METAL of the same diameter steel rod as the brand new plastic OD.
$10 for x6 at Pick and Payless wreckers.
Plastic - pah!
"Can't" is a dirty 4 letter word.
Best way to deal with a "Can't" is to chop off the "t" and brew it in boiled water for a few minutes.
Sip on the "t", and consider what you've got left to work with

Did all the gqs come with the plastic like that?
I've got a 90 model and I don't think any of mine had plastic.
