01 td42 engine into 98 ti 4.5

I have completed my conversion its driving and everything but there is 2 things.

1. The timing wires that go into the car where do I wire them up to?.

2. I only have first and second in the auto the torque converter feels like it not locking up because it's really sluggish but once it's going I can get up in speed but won't charge from second gear.

Where is the auto getting its tps reading from? Did you use the 4.5 tcm or one from a 4.2?

I would assume you do since you now have a TD42....
