Love the wheels mate, where did you get them? how much were they? what offset are they? are they steel or alloy?

    Nice Rig.

    Cheers MudRunner[/QUOTE]
They are modified by Mark's 4WD and are 16x8. Custom made positive offset to gain some reduced track with the portal assemblies. $250.00 ea. using my rims. They are powder coated as well.

Just sailed over to Shepparton 4WD this weekend to collect our Trayon camper. Back in Tassie now. About to start living the dream!

Cheers Pat, I was thinking of getting one for my ute.

Is your's going to be permanently on the tray or just chuck it on when needed.

Do you need a forklift to get it on and off?

If you look closely, you will see a bracket on each corner. Wind down legs fit in here, and allow you to leave the camper freestanding and simply drive out from under it. It's brilliant.

    Brilliant!!!

Only reason is ask is my mate made one to put on his rodeo and it has to be forked on.

He has a 5 tonne excavator he uses but its a nightmare.

    wind down legs, ripper idea!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Thanks Mudrunner. Yeah, nearly there. When building it the desired outcome was to end up with a "hardcore tourer". Pretty sure we achieved that! More HIDs, an undertray slide out gearbox, window tinting, roofrack...........shit, it never ends ,does it? LOL.

Bought another pair of HIDs, spotties this time to compliment the existing spread beams. Windows tinted and windscreen antiglare strip and Thule roofbars fitted ready for a custom alloy rack. A roofrack might seem superfluous on a flattray, but not when the camper is fitted. Got a sheetmetal worker fabricating an undertray slideout draw as well.
