Looking to get a head unit installed
Hi all!
Was wondering if anyone knows of somewhere which is open after hours, and could install a head unit (Pioneer, pretty basic just CD/USB input, no bluetooth or anything) in a GQ.
Like maybe a mobile installation business?
My old head unit just started playing up and basically chewed up my CD, and we're heading away this weekend - eek!
Didn't want to try installing it myself as there's not much time if I stuff it up.
Any suggestions appreciated!!

Oh sorry should have said haha I'm in Melb.
Would have been up for giving it a go if I had a bit more time but heading off early Sat morning
Not sure what tools you'd even need? I have a screwdriver hehe that's a start? No soldering iron though

Soldering iron is ideal but you could use crimp connects if you had to. Mate its 3 wires plus speaker wires in the simplest form. You can hookup headlight wires if you want but not necessary.

Is the headunit the original? If it is you can get a plug and play system from super cheap autobahn etc
IF ITS NOT BROKEN IT MUST BE A PATROL

Yep believe it's the original Nissan CD player, so hoping it's easy enough to wire my new one in
Just inconvenient trying to get it done last minute, because I don't have a garage, parking is poorly lit and would need to buy a couple of tools etc

As its stock use a wiring harness. Basically it just makes it all plug and play the only downside is it costs a bit more.
Autobarn, repco, supercheap etc have them. Probably take you all of about half an hour
