Motorbike for kids/wife

Hey all,

I'm after a brand name bike for me kids, missus and maybe a new one for me..lol No Chinese crap thanks

I'm looking for 70/80 for the kids and maybe a something bigger for the missus. Something from 2008 onward but will consider other ages???

looking for something reliable for a bit of fun on a big farm block..

For myself I'm looking for something easy to throw around (chasing cows) no matter of age...
Also if any one has a good 4x4 quad , let me know

Facebook has buy and swap pages. Fir the kids pw or ttr bikes from yamaha are good as are honda crf 100/125 all for 3ish grand brand new or gum tree is good. For you if putting about the farm bikes from suzuki honda yamaha in that order us what I'd want low gearing for slow cattle work and big hills etc. but I love my suzuki drz400 good mix of road dirt and speed plus super robust and reliable brand new for 8 grand but your age under 20000km 2 to 4 pending on condition and km but a farm bike would suit you better IMHO

Bought for our round Oz trip.

My wife rode around 5000kms on it, including taking it up the Bloomfield track to Cooktown & into the Bungle Bungle WA where it both proved to be more than capable in 4wd conditions & creek crossings, but the majority of the kilometres were on bitumen or graded dirt roads.
My Suzuki DR250 had no pillion footrests, so on the rare occasion when we needed to travel on one bike we used the Honda. It easily pulled us both along the highway at 80 - 90kph without 'thrashing' it. In good reliable condition, but not currently registered. All indicators work, but one needs a new rubber stem for a RWC. Other than that the bike would pass a roadworthy test easily.

For you I'd be looking at a 250 or 400 4stroke like a DRZ or something or an XR. Electric start is a must.

I have done a bit of farm work (cows and sheep) on a Honda AG250. Great for that job as it's geared for slow speed control but if you want to have some fun on it to then it will give you the Sh1ts. The DRZ400 for the win.

for reliability a four stoke for sure, are you tax exempt for Ag bikes'
4wd Quad and trailer would be very usefull
