You can buy tank cleaner, I'm pretty sure Shops like SC, Repco may sell it but ring before you go
Hot Rod guys use it all the time
Just asking for trouble using heater hose for Fuel, sooo many problems, never heard it before

I ended up using turps and rags, nightmare job as your hand just fits in and the baffles restrict half of tank.

Then vacuum cleaned all inside as the rust was then dusty.

Put 10 litres of fuel in, shook it around like a demon and drained.

When I install it I might throw another 10 litres in, go for a 10 min drive and drain again just to be sure but it came up a treat!

Lucky I did it as I found chunks of gaskets in there!

Yeah I think I might just do it anyway and tuck it up high so it won't rip on debris but easily accessible.

    Was just thinking that.

Also, I'm not sure what hard drugs I was on earlier but those screws do fit in the sender housing threads.

The pump we have does have a filter but it it looks expensive if you had to replace so wouldn't mind a cheap filter in front of it haha
