What chambering is your new toy in? Looks all very fettled with the fluted bolt handle/body...
The Lithgow is a 223, my favourite calibre. Super versatile round from rabbits and foxes to small deer.

Decided to join Compound Littlen for weeknight practice, definitely making her look Champion status
Yelling at Dad for a longer 50lb traditional bow 45 degree quiet draw angle could work, maybe

Traditional fox whistle and thermal optic. You get to watch them run in to the whistle without turning on a light. I've got one, should come up one weekend!

What is your technique? We used to find a few loud agonized whistles/screams, followed by subtle ones for a few minutes. Pause, and repeat. Got them close enough for the semi-auto (that's how long ago ) Sportco .22 to dispatch them. Once you had their attention we'd go steadily quieter to suck 'em in.

We copied a bought whistle, and made a few more.

Youtube has some videos on different techniques.

I don't do anything special or crazy, just blow away on the whistle and keep an eye out through the thermal. We've had them regularly run in to within 10m of us.
Modern "night vision" technology is absolutely game changing.
