Which place do you go to, Mialls or Arms & Ammo/Frontier Arms?
Still trying to decide which is the "better" of the two. Mialls is a magical wonderland(but they left me hanging for over a month on some gunsmithing work and they aint exactly cheap), but Arms&Ammo has a lot of cool old gear and the old guy there is great value.

I bought this one at Mialls. Is just around the corner. However I find their service is often lacking and have walked out without what I was there for a number of times as they didn't even make the effort. The guy today when I picked it up was good though so depends who you get I guess.
I usually get my fix at Clayton firearms. Have always found them great. And have been to gun emporium in Tullamarine a few times. Great lot but a long drive for me.
Where is Arms&Ammo?

Nice what do you plan on shooting with it?
In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.

I figure foxes and bunnies depending on whether I actually ever find a good spot. It will probably see some clays too and maybe ducks one day ... Haven't even fired my rifles "in anger" yet...
I had the day off Monday and happened to find one at the right price. Gotta love Vic's permit system. Just over 24hrs...

Great to see so many shooters.
I've had my licence for a few years now an have quite a collection of rifles. I reload for all my centrefires and can't remember the last time I bought factory ammo apart from shotgun shells and 22LR (I also reload for the 12ga when needed).
Mainly target foxes with the 22-250 and pigs with the 308 and shotty plus anything else that walks past.
I've only just bought my first 4x4 so I've had to rely on other people to spotlight etc so a new era of shooting has opened for me.

That's a nice looking shooter.
Bloodyaussie helped me out when I bought my shottie, was going to buy some Spanish unit, but on his recommendation I ended up with a beaut Baikal sxs, stamped USSR too for good measure. It's a nice looking unit, will grab some pics.
Arms & ammo is on Superior drive in Dandy South, not much to look at from the outside, but has a section down the back with all kinds of goodies.
I used to live 2mins walking distance from Melbourne Firearms and between me & my wife have bought five guns there and loads of ammo over the years, but they are very hit & miss. The old guy with the beard and the skinny older guy a're great though.
I've had the same experience at Mialls, sometimes good, sometimes not so much.
Clayton are okay as long as they are not busy or dealing with mates, I've been ignored in there for 15mins before walking out before, but that said, bought some ammo and projectiles there this week and the guy was mint.

I have found "gun emporium" to be really good so far.
